CHANNEL LETTER SIGNS · HOUSTON
Houston Channel Letter Signs for Distinct Visibility
Front-lit, halo-lit, and non-lit letters fabricated and installed in-house: crisp by day, even glow after dark.
WHAT ARE CHANNEL LETTER SIGNS?
Channel letter signs are the workhorse of storefront identity: individually fabricated, dimensional letters and logos mounted to your building fascia. Done right, they read crisp and clean by day and glow evenly after dark.
4D SignWorx has built channel letters for Houston businesses since 1968, cutting, forming, wiring, and painting every set on our own floor so the color, the lighting, and the mounting are all accountable to one crew.

WHY 4D FOR CHANNEL LETTERS
Why 4D for Channel Letters
We fabricate in-house with UL-listed components and energy-efficient LEDs spec’d for even brightness and long uptime: no dark spots, no early failures. Every set is engineered for its mounting condition and Houston’s Gulf-Coast weather, and we handle the landlord and city permits before we install. One storefront or a rollout across a tenant’s locations, the standard is the same every time.

BEFORE IT SHIPS
Every lit sign runs 72 hours before it leaves our shop.
A bad LED or a weak transformer almost always shows itself in the first few days. So before any lit sign leaves the shop, we run it a full 72 hours: powered on, lights burning, the whole system under load. If something’s going to quit, it quits here on our bench where we just fix it, not on your building a week after the crew packs up. Three days lit and holding, then it ships.
The SHOR on Clear Lake monument, lit on our floor at hour 72 and again after it was installed.

Where Channel Letters Work Best
Storefront-first, but they anchor whole property programs.
Channel letters are the workhorse of storefront identity, but they earn their keep across a range of commercial fronts. Retail and restaurant storefronts, office and medical building fascia, shopping-center tenants, and multi-location brand programs all rely on them to read crisp by day and glow evenly after dark. Pair them with a monument or pylon for a complete property identity.
Retail & restaurant storefronts
The classic front-lit look that turns a lease space into a recognizable brand at the street.
Office & medical fascia
Halo-lit letters for a premium, upscale glow on corporate and healthcare buildings.
Shopping-center tenants
Consistent letter sets that keep every tenant on-brand within the center’s sign criteria.
Multi-tenant properties
Coordinated fascia identity across suites and buildings, built to one standard.
Multi-location rollouts
The same lighting, color, and mounting standard across every location in a brand program.
Paired with monuments & pylons
Channel letters for the building, a monument or pylon at the drive: one complete property ID.

Front-lit vs. halo-lit: what's the difference?
Front-lit letters glow through their faces for bold nighttime visibility; halo-lit letters are lit from behind for a softer, upscale halo. Many brands combine both.
Do you handle the permit and installation?
Yes, engineer-sealed drawings, the city and landlord permits, and installation by our own crew are all included.
How long do channel letters take?
Most storefront sets run a few weeks from approved artwork to install, permitting being the main variable.
Planning a full sign program?
Most properties need more than one. See the other sign types we design, build, and install for Houston businesses.
