THE SHORT VERSION

A turnkey sign project means you hand us the goal and we hand you a finished, working sign, with every step in between handled. Because 4D SignWorx does design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, and installation in-house, you deal with one team and one point of accountability from the first conversation to power-on. No coordinating a separate designer, engineer, permit expediter, fabricator, and installer; no finger-pointing when something needs to happen. Here’s how a project comes together.

THE FIVE STEPS

  • 1. Consultation & site survey
  • 2. Design & renderings
  • 3. Engineering & permitting
  • 4. In-house fabrication
  • 5. Installation & power-on

HOW A PROJECT COMES TOGETHER

One in-house path, from goal to power-on.

No coordinating a separate designer, engineer, permit expediter, fabricator, and installer, because they all work under one roof.

01

Consultation & site survey

It starts with understanding your goal and your site. We talk through what you’re trying to accomplish (visibility, branding, wayfinding), then survey the location: measurements, sightlines, mounting conditions, and utilities. We also check the site against city or jurisdiction sign code, deed restrictions, and any landlord or HOA criteria up front, so the design we develop is one you can actually permit and install.

02

Design & renderings

Next we design the sign to scale and show it to you, usually as a realistic rendering placed on a photo of your building, so you can see exactly what will be installed. We design to your brand and to the code constraints at the same time, and we refine until it’s right. You approve the final design before we build a thing; there are no surprises later.

03

Engineering & permitting

Once the design is approved, we produce engineer-sealed structural drawings for freestanding and large signs and prepare the full permit package: city or jurisdiction, plus landlord or HOA approvals. We submit, manage the review, and handle any revisions the reviewer wants. Permitting is usually the biggest variable in a project’s timeline, and taking it off your plate is a core part of the turnkey promise.

04

In-house fabrication

With permits in hand, your sign is built on our own Houston floor. Our fabricators cut, weld, wire, form, and paint it (channel letters, cabinets, monuments, pylons, or dimensional letters), using UL-listed components for anything illuminated. Keeping fabrication in-house is what lets us control quality and hold the schedule instead of waiting in a subcontractor’s queue, and it’s inspected before it ever leaves the shop.

05

Installation & power-on

Our own licensed crews install the sign: setting foundations, mounting, wiring, and powering it on, whether it’s a single storefront set or a highway pylon that needs a crane. Because the people accountable for the sign are the ones installing it, the details are right and the site is left clean. Then we schedule the final inspection to close out the permit.

AFTER POWER-ON

Ongoing service

The relationship doesn’t end at installation. We service what we build (LED and lighting repair, face and panel updates, refacing for rebrands, and maintenance) so your sign keeps working and looking its best for years. And because we’re local, that’s a phone call, not a wait on an out-of-town vendor.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

It means one company handles everything (consultation, design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, and installation), so you hand over the goal and receive a finished, working sign, with a single point of accountability throughout.

Yes. We provide a scaled rendering, usually on a photo of your building, and you approve the final design before any fabrication begins.

We do: engineer-sealed drawings and the full city/jurisdiction and landlord permit package, from submittal through final inspection.

It varies by sign type and permitting. Storefront signage can be a few weeks, while engineered pylons and masonry monuments run several weeks to a couple of months. We give you a real schedule up front.

Yes. We repair and maintain what we build (and signs we didn’t), including LED/lighting repair, face and panel updates, and refacing.

Trusted on five-figure projects, then trusted again.
