EVERY SIGN TYPE · ONE HOUSTON SHOP
Signs We Make in Houston
One Houston shop designs, engineers, fabricates, and installs virtually every kind of commercial sign a business needs, and has since 1968.
ONE TEAM, START TO FINISH
A single storefront’s channel letters and a shopping center’s complete pylon-and-monument program get built the same way: by one Houston crew on our own floor, with one team accountable for the design, the permit, the manufacturing, and the installation.
That single-source model is the difference. Most sign companies do one slice of the work and broker out the rest; we keep all of it in-house, which is why the schedule holds and the quality stays consistent from the first drawing to power-on.

Seen from the street, the parking lot, and the freeway.
Channel letter signs
Front-lit, halo-lit, and non-lit dimensional letters and logos for storefronts and building fascia.
Monument signs
Ground-set brick, stone, and aluminum monuments that anchor an entrance and stand up to Gulf-Coast weather.
Pylon & pole signs
Tall single- and multi-tenant structures engineered to be read from the road and the freeway.

Fountain & water-feature signs
Monument signage integrated into fountains and water features, a longtime Houston specialty.
HOW WE BUILD EVERY SIGN
One in-house path, start to finish.
Nothing falls through the cracks between a designer, a fabricator, and an installer, because they all work under one roof.
Design & survey
We survey your site, check it against City and landlord code, and draw scaled renderings you approve before anything is cut.
Engineering & permits
Structural drawings are engineer-sealed and we pull the full permit package for your jurisdiction.
Fabrication
Aluminum and steel are cut, welded, wired, and painted on our own Houston floor.
Installation
Our crews set it, wire it, and power it on, then we service it for years afterward.
Built for the industries that run Houston.
Every sector has its own codes, permits, and buyer expectations. We’ve delivered signage across all of them, from a single storefront to a multi-tenant rollout.
Shopping centers
Tenant pylons, monuments, and panel directories for retail centers.
Industrial & warehouse
Building IDs, dock and door numbers, and yard signage built to spec.
Restaurant, retail & business
Storefront channel letters and blade signs that pull foot traffic.
Healthcare
ADA wayfinding, suite IDs, and monuments for clinics and campuses.
Multi-tenant & mixed-use
Coordinated sign programs across every tenant and building.
Residential real estate
Community entrances, monuments, and neighborhood markers.
Community
HOA, park, and civic signage that fits the neighborhood.
Church
Exterior monuments and digital message boards for congregations.
Amenity
Pool, fitness, and clubhouse signs for apartment communities.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIGN
How to choose the right sign for your business.
The right answer is usually a combination: a road-facing sign plus storefront and interior signage that share one look.
Start with the job the sign has to do. If you need to be found from a busy road or freeway, a tall pylon does what a ground-level sign can’t. If you’re marking a professional entrance, a monument reads as established and permanent. For storefront identity that pulls foot traffic, channel letters on the fascia are the standard. Inside, interior and ADA/wayfinding signs finish the space and keep visitors oriented.
You don’t have to sort this out alone. Tell us the location and the goal and we’ll recommend the right sign, or the right combination of signs, for the property. It comes down to three practical factors:
Visibility
How far away (and how fast) people need to read it.
Illumination
Does it need to work after dark? That drives LED, neon, or halo-lit.
Site code
Your jurisdiction and landlord set height, size, and lighting limits.
DEVELOPERS & PROPERTY MANAGERS
Signs for developers, property managers & rebrands
A large share of our work is for commercial real-estate developers and property managers, especially shopping centers and industrial parks, where signage is a coordinated program, not a single sign. We plan tenant pylon and monument hierarchies, build changeable panel systems, and roll out consistent identity across every building on a site.
For rebrands and new construction, we handle the whole package: surveys, a unified sign program, permitting across each jurisdiction, fabrication, and a phased installation that keeps your tenants open and visible throughout.
WHERE WE WORK
Greater Houston & the Texas Triangle
We install across Greater Houston, including Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pearland, and Spring, and travel statewide across the Texas Triangle for multi-site and rollout programs.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
What types of signs does 4D SignWorx make?
Nearly all of them. We build channel letters, monuments, pylon and pole signs, LED and electronic message centers, electric and neon signs, wall and dimensional letters, interior and lobby signage, ADA and wayfinding signs, and fountain/water-feature signs, all in-house in Houston.
Do you handle design, permits, and installation too?
Yes. Every project includes design and a site survey, engineer-sealed drawings, the City and landlord permit package, in-house fabrication, and installation by our own crew. One partner start to finish.
Do you make both interior and exterior signs?
Both. Many clients use us for a coordinated program: exterior identity (channel letters, monument, or pylon) plus interior lobby, wayfinding, and ADA signage that all share one look.
Can you repair or update a sign you didn’t build?
Usually, yes. We service illuminated signs, refresh faces, and update tenant panels across Greater Houston, including signs originally built by other companies.
How much does a custom sign cost in Houston?
It depends entirely on the sign type, size, illumination, and structure. We give a firm, itemized quote after a quick review. See our Houston sign cost guide to learn what drives the cost.
What areas do you serve?
Greater Houston and its suburbs, plus statewide coverage across the Texas Triangle (Dallas–Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio) for multi-site work.
How do I know which type of sign I need?
Three things decide it: where it needs to be seen from, whether it must be lit, and your site’s code limits. Tell us the address and the goal and we’ll recommend the right sign or combination, often a road-facing pylon or monument plus storefront channel letters and interior/ADA signage.
How long does a sign project take?
It varies by sign type and permitting: storefront channel letters can be a few weeks, while an engineered pylon or masonry monument runs several weeks to a couple of months. Permitting is usually the biggest variable, and we manage it for you.
Do you work with property managers and developers on multiple sites?
Yes, coordinated, multi-building and multi-site sign programs are a core strength. We hold one standard across every location and manage permitting in each jurisdiction.
Can you match our existing signage or brand standards?
Yes, we fabricate to your brand standards and can match existing signage so new and old read as one consistent identity.
Trusted on five-figure projects, then trusted again.
Not sure which sign you need?
Tell us the location and the goal, and we’ll recommend the right sign, or the right combination, for your property.
